UAE Premier receives letter from Ahmadinejad

DUBAI (Khaleej Times) -- His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received on Monday a letter from Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad.
The letter, which dealt with bilateral relations between the UAE and Iran and the latest regional developments, was delivered to Shaikh Mohammed by Alireza Sheikh-Attar, Iran's deputy foreign minister.The current regional situation as well as ways to establish peace and stability were discussed by Shaikh Mohammed and the Iranian official at the meeting.
Iranian Ambassador to the UAE Hamid Reza Asefi, Lieutenant-General Mussabah Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of Dubai Ruler, and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director General of Dubai’s Protocol, were present at the meeting.
The UAE media assessed as 'important' the visit by a senior official of Iran's Foreign Ministry to the country under current sensitive circumstances.
